Tokyo Train Book started with the idea of the “inside and outside” of a train car. The idea was developed into two watercolors of people on a train, and further evolved into a compilation of fifteen portraits of commuters in black and white.
The Tokyo Train Book is printed in black on colored paper similar to those used in train tickets. It is also housed in a white sleeve resembling the Japanese envelope used for multiple tickets.
